The Brownmonkeys are a collective of young artists based in Dubai.  Their focus is design, but the strengths are multi-disciplinary, drawing from all sorts of visual art backgrounds, including painting, photography, and video, and also music.  There is a strong indie sensibility in their eclectic and truly splendid designs, and they have a huge appeal for alternative music and digital art cultures.  The design sensibility is varied, but the sharpness, cleanness, and pure visual appeal is always brilliant.  It will be fascinating to watch this group grow in the coming years, drawing on their collective visual strengths and using the power of the networks to advance a sensibility that is exciting and very modern.
